Leadership Network is planning another online conference called Staff Infection:
Here’s what they say it’s this event: ”Cultivating a Healthy Church Team. When a church staff works as a team, everything seems possible. But as time goes on, things start to slip. Conflicts arise. Teamwork fails. And something goes terribly wrong. Your staff is sick. Trust is broken. Accountability fails. Enthusiasm wanes. Darkness pervades. Learn how healthy church teams thrive and how yours can too. Join Leadership Network as thousands of churches gather to learn how healthy teams work.”
More details coming to StaffInfection.tv soon – watch for it.
Leadership Networks “unconference” approach has been very successful and beneficial for me – I’m looking forward to another great online event!

Memories vs. Vision
Filed Under Executive Pastoring, Ministry | Leave a Comment
I came across a quote from one of my favorite church leaders, Andy Stanley, who said: If your memories outweigh your vision….the end is near.
I found myself thinking about his statement more than I expected and specifically as it relates to the church I serve at - Church of the Open Door. Open Door has an abundance of incredible memories of the rich ministry that God has done in and through our church! And today their is a clear vision for the future that we are passionately pursuing but I think it would be easy to slip into resting on what God has done rather than running towards what God is doing today.
It would be easy because we can just get tired of running. It’s easy because we sometimes fear what the future may bring. And it’s easy to hold to on the success that we love and naturally avoid any risk loosing it.
I’m thankful that the prevailing attitude at Open Door is clearly one that embraces advancing the Kingdom and boldly responding to God’s leading! It’ ‘s a privilege to serve with a church that Loves God, Loves People, and is Surrendered to God!
